An egg donor is used for a number of reasons. Egg donation is an excellent option for those women who are unable to have a genetic child due to a deficit in egg quantity or quality. This can be due to advanced reproductive age, congenital defects that result in the absence of an ovary(ies) and/or as a result of gonadotoxic treatment. Fortunately, there are IVF donors who can help. Egg donations can be anonymous or from a friend or relative, often referred to as a designated donor. Additionally, women who have undergone successful in vitro fertilization can choose to donate their remaining eggs to help other would-be parents.
The potential sources of Donor Eggs are many, but the result is the same…the gift of life and the creation of a family. Let Team RMI help find the path that is right for you.
