Dr. Nasir Rana, M.D., M.P.H.
Nasir Rana, M.D., M.P.H., has devoted his professional life to academic medicine and to clinical practice of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is one of the Founding Members of Reproductive Medicine Institute.
Dr. Rana has maintained dedicated interest and research in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Immunology and the study of Endometriosis. He is the author or co-author of numerous scientific articles published in peer-review journals focused on identifying the cause and on discovering better diagnostic techniques and treatment methods. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and American College of Surgeons. Certified in Robotic Surgery he was awarded a Certificate of Special Competence in the field of advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
After a long and distinguished military career, Dr. Rana retired as a Colonel from the U.S. Air Force Reserve with a rating of Chief Flight Surgeon. He is a veteran of the Gulf War, recipient of several military awards and decorations, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Dr. Rana is also fully conversant in Urdu, Panjabi, and Hindi.

WHERE DID YOUR INTEREST IN BEING A DOCTOR, SPECIFICALLY A REPRODUCTIVE ENDOCRINOLOGIST COME FROM?
My uncle, a well-loved and respected physician; was a role model for me. Watching him encourage my desire to be a physician from an early age. My interest in Reproductive Medicine was peaked after first hearing about the birth of Louis Brown.

I enjoy every aspect of being a Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility specialist, but my special interest is in the study and treatment of endometriosis and laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.
